JLS&Co Model Shop.

Recently through searching E Bay i have come across a new outlet here in the the West Midlands called JLS Models.Further research established that the company has a shop located in Wednesbury.This was a delight to my ears,as we all like to  find a new shop.And new bargains to be had.

On Wednesday of this week following a phone call to the owner,myself and a fellow modeller Terry Walton made the trip over  to Wednesbury.Here is my report.

Located in Wednesbury down a small side road is JLS&Co.The shop is located within a building that also houses a rifle range downstairs.JLS is located on the first floor in what can only be described as a pristine layout.On one side you have Air Rifles.Mostly made in Birmingham.And through an archway the sanctum that is the model shop.Lastly attached is a very nice office that is used for the dispatch of kits.

Mien Host is Stuart who is assisted by his lovely wife.Stuart is a real gentleman and a model maker to boot.If some of you older ones remember ED'S Saturday club.Then i would say the format follows the same as ED's.Stuart is very passionate about the hobby and is working very hard to build up a customer base with sheer hard work.

At present Stuart has a good range of models both in Aviation and Armour and some very nice cars.He
 covers such manufacturers as Tamiya,Hasegawa,Airfix,Italeri,Academy and some Trumpeter.What did impress me was he also stocks some of the harder to get Tamiya Tools.As we all know these are hard to come by.Stuart also stocks a good range of paints from Tamiya at a very good price indeed.

I myself purchased the re-released Tamiya T34/76 1943 at £19.99 and Tamiya thinners.

In conclusion for me this is a great breath of air to have a new outlet,fairly nearby to me that sells there items at a good rate together with good banter.I very much commend them to the house.Here Here.
