The Summer Show 2010

A bit late posting most would say.But here we go anyways.

In late June IPMS Coventry put on their annual display at the Midland Air Museum Coventry. The event was well attended mainly due to the good fortune in the weather we had.Traders were a plenty in the guises of Paul Davis,Chris Summers of Kits-Kits and Robin from Cammett amongst them. This year we made good use of the new education centre, placing a few clubs within. These included a fine display as always by UMS Birmingham. Not to be confused with IPMS Birmingham who are a seperate club.

At Coventry we run a very different appraoch to the model competition in that we do not have the normal selection of classes to enter. What we do is have a panel of judges who go around the club tables and similar to the classes system  have sections. We then choose the winner of each section and award the person at the end of the show.Different i know but it works very well indeed.

As is the case every year we run a Tombola and this year this was run by my good wife Chris aka "Rosie" for obvious reasons Rosie and Jim.A long story which i will not bore you with.

Martin and the gang from UMS Birmingham.A fine trio.

The main hanger where our traders are situated.Roland and Terry from IPMS Birmingham looking for a bargain in the moroon T shirts.

Rosie trying to hang on to the table after a freak gust of wind.Always up for a challenge my wife.
Sometimes it gets all to much for some people lol.
A lovely Corsair in 1/48th scale.
My great mate Chris Summers of Kits-Kits.Try his stand out next time you go to a show.
