Yate show 22 August 2010

The first editorial for Coventry IPMS will focus on the recent model show at Yate near Bristol.

Access to the venue was very easy and plenty of parking provided by the Yate club, including parking for the disabled.

Entering the venue you were greeted by some of the commitee and shown your allocated tables.Which for me on this occasion was with the 580 Modellers.

The show was attended by many of the members of Coventry IPMS,although we had not asked for table space. This is something that will be discussed at a future meeting for next year.

There were some excellent models displayed on various club stands as well as the competition.

What was most welcome was the bargains to be had with some of the traders and club stands.I myself picked up a 1/48th Monogram Marauder for £6.which was a great bargain, even for an old kit.i also saw many kits for £10 in 1/48th and those included Hasegawa and Tamiya.

I think most would agree a great show and one which we would like to attend as a club display.

Here are some of the models displayed and in the competition.
